Account Deletion & Data Removal

You can permanently delete your Resumeily account at any time from your account settings. When you initiate account deletion:

• Your account is immediately deactivated and you are signed out.
• All resumes, cover letters, and job tracker entries linked to your account are scheduled for permanent deletion.
• All resume versions, shared/distributed resumes, and point history are permanently removed.
• Any profile images you uploaded to our storage are deleted.
• Your LinkedIn connection credentials and OAuth tokens are immediately revoked and removed.

The full data purge is processed automatically in the background and completes within 24 hours of your deletion request. This action is irreversible — deleted data cannot be recovered.

LinkedIn Integration

Resumeily offers LinkedIn OAuth sign-in and profile import. When you connect LinkedIn, we store an AES-256-GCM encrypted access token, token expiry, OAuth scope, and your LinkedIn member ID solely to enable import and authentication features. We do not post to LinkedIn on your behalf or share your LinkedIn data with third parties. You can disconnect LinkedIn at any time from your account settings, which immediately revokes and permanently deletes the stored token and credentials.

AI-Powered Features

Resumeily uses artificial intelligence to power several features, including resume summary generation, ATS (Applicant Tracking System) analysis and suggestions, ATS auto-apply optimization, and cover letter generation from job descriptions. To provide these features, relevant content you submit — such as resume text and job descriptions — is sent to a third-party AI service provider for processing. This content is used solely to generate the requested output and is not used to train AI models. We recommend you do not include sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for your resume or cover letter.

Referral Program & Points

Resumeily operates a referral and rewards program. When you sign up via a referral link, we record the referral relationship between accounts. We track points earned through qualifying actions and maintain a point history log associated with your account. This data is used solely to operate the rewards program and is deleted when you delete your account.

Public & Distributed Resume Sharing

You may choose to publish your resume as a publicly accessible link (a unique URL of the form resumeily.com/r/[slug]). When you do, the resume content is accessible to anyone with that link without requiring a login. You can revoke a public link at any time from your resume settings, which immediately removes public access. Distributed or shared resumes are permanently deleted when you delete your account.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We regularly review our security practices to help protect your information.
